Leela Description

Leela was born to Turanga Morris and Turanga Munda (mutants' first names are usually the names stay the same when passed down to their children). The Turangas wanted Leela to be able to live a good life and not be cursed to live the life of a mutant so when she was a baby they abandoned her at the Cookieville Minimum Security Orphanarium, although they always kept a close eye on her. Leela grew up at the orphanarium and when she became an adult, she left and was assigned to be a Fate Assignment Officer at the Cryo-genetics Lab in New New York City. Basically, she was to assign newly unfrozen people their perminent careers. On December 31st 2999, she was to assign a fate to a man from the twentieth century, Fry. She, Fry, and Bender went to find Fry's nephew, Professor Farnsworth who soon employed them at his business Planet Express. There Leela made some new friends, Amy, Dr. Zoidberg, Scruffy, and Hermes. In her spare time, Leela enjoys shopping with Amy. Leela holds the world record for being the first woman to ever play major league Blernsball. She also holds the record as the Worst Blernsball Player in History. Leela has gotten involved with Fry a few times, including their brief marriage, but Leela isn't sure she is ready to settle for someone like Fry just yet.

Leela es una humanoide cíclope de una especie desconocida en todo el universo conocido, fue supuestamente abandonada en la Tierra siendo aún bebe y creció en un orfanato donde su único ojo le provocaba el aislamiento, burlas y ser discriminada en deportes. Más tarde se le fue "asignado" el trabajo de Oficial de Asignación de destinos. Y su vida dio un giro radical el 31-12 del año 2999 cuando se encontró con cierto chico proveniente del siglo XX con el que tiene en común eso de estar "fuera de tu mundo". Leela es la capitán de la nave Planet Express, función que desempeña con eficacia a pesar de tener una capacidad de visión limitada ya que no puede percibir bien la profundidad. Siempre ha vivido en soledad al no saber quién era su especie, normalmente es la que saca de apuros a Fry y a Bender... aunque a veces los papeles se tornan. Los mutantes se nombran al reves poniendose primero el apellido y luego el nombre. De ese modo sus padres se llaman Turanga Morris y Turanga Munda, siendo sus nombres por supuesto Morris y Munda.

Persönlichkeit: Die Art von Frau, die ihre eigene Harpune besitzt. Intelligent, ernsthaft, verantwortungsbewusst.
Erste Vermutung: wurde als Säugling auf der Erde ausgesetzt und ist das einzige bekannte Exemplar ihrer Spezies.
Wahrheit: ist die Tochter von zwei Mutanten und wurde ausgesetzt, da sie fast keine Missbildungen hatte. So wurde ihr die Chance gegeben, ein Leben auf der Erde zu führen.

Beruf: War Schicksalbeauftragte, ist inzwischen Captain des Planet Express Lieferschiffes.

Weitere Informationen: Beherrscht Martial Arts, kann mit Schaltung fahren (solange sie nicht parallel einparken muss), hatte eine heisse, körperliche Beziehung mit Zapp Brannigan (steht zumindest auf seiner Homepage), kann den "Robotertanz", ihr Name wurde ursprünglich "Leila" geschrieben.

Leela est le seul cyclope dans l'univers connu. Ses parents l'ont abandonné devant un orphelinat. Rejettée depuis sa plus tendre enfance, elle en a gardé une méfiance envers les étrangers.
Elle a abandonné son travail d'officier d'attribution de destin pour aller travailler à Planet Express en compagnie de Bender et Fry.

Leela è stata abbandonata sulla Terra quando era molto piccola e non sa nemmeno da quale galassia provengano i suoi genitori. Per quanto lei sappia è l'unica aliena con un occhio solo sulla Terra; questo le ha precluso molte amicizie e fino a quando Fry non irrompe nella sua vita Leela non ha amici. Il suo precedente lavoro consisteva nell'assegnare alle persone il loro chip del lavoro.
Nell'anno 3000 infatti ogni persona è destinata ad intraprendere una particolare carriera, tale predestinazione viene estrapolata da un computer e poi immessa nel corpo del mal capitato attraverso un chip. Adesso Leela è il capitano della nave spaziale presso la "Planet Express" un servizio di consegne intergalattico; con lei lavorano Fry e Bender, Hermes, Amy e il Professor Farnsworth.

Turanga Leela en enøyd (kyklop) alien. Hun ble forlatt som barn, og ingen vet hvor hun kommer fra. Helt til Fry kom til år 3000 jobbet hun som skjebnetildelingsoffiser. Nå er hun kaptein på Planet Express skipet, til tross for dårlig dybdesyn.
