Lisa Simpson takes after both her parents: she has Marge's common sense, hard work ethic and sympathy for others; she has Homer's last name. Lisa's enormous intelligence and moral authority place her in a unique position in the SImpson family and, for that matter, Springfield at large. Each parents' night at Springfield Elementary, Homer and Marge fight to meet with Lisa's teachers rather than Bart's on the theory that being offered a tin of cookies as thanks is less "upsetting" and "costly" than reviewing quarterly property damage assessments for melted playground equipment. This second grader also plays the saxophone with the virtuosity, if not stubble, of Springfield's late blues great, Bleeding Gums Murphy. For the record, Lisa says she watches TV only for "The MacNeil-Lehrer Report", particularly since it expanded to one hour, and any Masterpiece Theatre serialization of wordy British novels. In truth, however, she is always willing to interrupt a piercing MacNeil-Lehrer roundtable whenever her beloved "Itchy and Scratchy" cartoons are on TV. Her deep love for cartoon characters proves that, no matter how precocious she may be, Lisa is still a Simpson.

Lisa a que 8 ans et elle est une pro du sax et son idole est un grand saxophoniste : Bleeding Gum ou Gingivite Murphy. Elle a été troublé lors par la mort de Gingivite. Quelqu'un qui aurait bien aimé être l'amoureux de Lisa : Ralph Wiggum. Lisa est aussi une surdouée ! Elle est sûrement l'étudiante la plus intelligente de l'école. Son seul adversaire de taille : Martin. Un jour a une foire, Lisa rencontre une voyante qui lui parle de son avenir. Elle lui dit qu'elle mariera un Anglais d'Angleterre... bin du moins ils s'aimeront jusqu'au mariage, car le mariage fut annulé. En effet, le chum de Lisa voulait, après le mariage, repartir en Angleterre avec Lisa. Elle refusa, car ne voulait pas laisser sa famille seul au States. Aussi, elle prédit que Bart démolira des buildings et Homer travaillera toujours à la centrale.Son premier mot : Bart. Son expression : Pour ceux qui veulent me parler, je serai dans ma chambre ! Lisa Simpson: Al contrario de su hermano Bart, ella es una niña estudiosa e inteligente, pone atencion en clase aunque no necesite hacerlo, ya que desde pequeña hizo notar que era superdotada, la genio de la familia. Ella expresa sus sentimientos atravez de su saxofon, el cual aprendio a tocar por si sola. Tiene muchos reproches contra el sistema del gobierno, trata de proteger la ecologia, por esto odia al mallor contaminante de Springfield: El señor Burns. Lisa no es tan popular en la escuela como su hermano, no tiene muchas amigas, ya que las abusonas siempre la tiran al lodo por ser un "Cerebrito". Lisa es mejor en la escuela que Bart, aunque si Bart le gana en una o dos cosillas, se pone verde de la envidia.

Il nome Lisa deriva da una sorella di Matt Groening.

Sie hatte den Titel der kleinen Miss Springfield, setzt sich gerne für die Umwelt und die Rechte der Frau ein (die Puppe "Lisa Löwenherz" die als Vorbild gelten sollte als Gegenpol zur "Malibu-Stacey-Puppe", floppte leider völlig...). Ihr grösstes Hobby ist allerdings das Saxophon spielen, doch leider verstarb ihr grosses Vorbild Zahnfleischbluter-Murphy letztens... Dank ihres beachtlichen Wissens hilft sie sogar Ärzten bei Bypass-Operationen...
