Once Spike (James Marsters) sees the robot he tells the creator that he wants a robot of his own. The episode ends on a tragic note when Buffy finds her mum unconscious on the couch.

After overcoming the shock of discovering her mother's body, Buffy (Sarah Michelle Gellar) manages to pull herself together enough to tell Dawn the news.
