Witch Trial / season 2 - episode 1

On their anniversary of becoming witches Prue (Shannen Doherty), Piper (Holly Marie Combs) and Phoebe (Alyssa Milano) face a bizarre demon who pulls the Book of Shadows into another dimension and begins reversing each spell, causing vanquished demons to return and slowly erasing the sisters powers. In addition, Prue's guilt over Andy's tragic death left her weak and reluctant to save their powers. Eventually the sisters converge on the most powerful night known to witches, the same night they became witches, and join the power of three to create the power of one recapturing the Book of Shadows and banishing the demon away in a puff of smoke. Piper decides to open a nightclub, Prue throws herself into her work at the auction house while Phoebe, who is still unemployed, starts looking into their family heritage.


Morality Bites / season 2 - episode 2

After Phoebe (Alyssa Milano) has a horrifying premonition of herself being executed, the sisters decide to travel to the future to try to avert Phoebe's fate. Piper (Holly Marie Combs) finds she has a lovely daughter and a failed marriage to Leo (Brian Krause). Prue (Shannen Doherty), a leather-clad blonde with lots of money and power, has little love in her life. Meanwhile, Phoebe learns she used her witchcraft to kill a man who was a brutal murderer. Using her witchcraft to punish the guilty has cost more than her own life, it has also spurred a powerful politician to turn the incident into a futuristic witch-hunt for all witches. Despite their efforts Prue and Piper can't save Phoebe from being burned at the stake, but instantly the sisters are back in 1999, all safe and sound. Learning their lesson, the Halliwell sisters vow not to become the future selves they met.


The Painted World / season 2 - episode 3

Prue (Shannen Doherty) finds some mysterious words on an unusual painting at the auction house. When she repeats the message a spell is cast sending her into another dimension trapped within the painting along with a dangerous warlock. Meanwhile, Piper (Holly Marie Combs) asks their new neighbor for help renovating her new night club and Phoebe (Alyssa Milano) secretly casts a smart spell to help her compete for a new job. When Piper also gets stuck in the painting, Phoebe's new smarts enable her to read the Latin spell to free them all only to be tricked by the man in the painting. The man is really a warlock. He saves himself and then torches the painting. Although the smart spell is over, a cunning Phoebe tricks the warlock and his warlock lover into the painting with her.


The Devil's Music / season 2 - episode 4

Business at the nightclub is taking off-and so are some of the patrons. Piper (Holly Marie Combs) books special musical guest star Dishwalla at her night club only to learn that the band's manager has made his own evil arrangement. Prue (Shannen Doherty), Piper and Phoebe (Alyssa Milano) find out the band's manager has made a demonic deal to trade female groupies in exchange for fame and notoriety. Meanwhile, Piper struggles emotionally with her feelings when Leo (Brian Krause) returns to help the Halliwell sisters save the fans and their young neighbor Jenny who have all fallen prey to the demon.


She's a Man, Baby, a Man! / season 2 - episode 5

As a heat wave descends on San Francisco, Phoebe (Alyssa Milano) begins to have exotic dreams that end in the killing of her dream lovers. Prue (Shannen Doherty) unwittingly casts a spell to catch the demon and turns into a guy! Posing as bait for the man-killer, Prue goes by the name Manny. Soon the Succubus zeros in on Prue, who finds her maleness has rendered her powerless to the demon's feminine charms. Phoebe uses her psychic connection to the Succubus to help Manny, who's really Prue, reject the demonic charms and bring back a very relieved and womanly Prue. Enriched by her experience as a man Prue convinces Piper (Holly Marie Combs) to ask Leo (Brian Krause) out to the Animal Rights benefit concert starring the Cranberries.


That Old Black Magic / season 2 - episode 6

An evil witch (Tuatha) that kills good witches, is accidentally set free from the cave she was entombed in for two hundred years. Leo (Brian Krause) returns to help get the staff into the hands of the only person who can use the wand for good, The Chosen One, and bumps into Piper (Holly Marie Combs) with her new love interest, Dan. Trying to put the awkwardness aside Leo, Piper and Phoebe (Alyssa Milano) find the Chosen One who turns out to be a reluctant teenager named Kyle while Prue (Shannen Doherty) stumbles across the magical scepter. Ignoring Leo's warnings, the Halliwell sisters attempt to find and defeat the witch and barely escape with their lives.


They're Everywhere / season 2 - episode 7

Prue (Shannen Doherty), Piper (Holly Marie Combs) and Phoebe (Alyssa Milano) are faced with more warlocks than they can handle when they help Eric, a young man who has cracked a baffling code to reveal the location of an ancient tablet which contains the significant events of the future. They must protect not only Eric but his father as well. Also, concerned that the men they are interested in might be warlocks, Prue and Piper cast a spell to read minds. Luckily, Prue and Piper find out their recent flames are not Warlocks, although Jack has been playing tricks on Prue with his twin brother. Piper takes a romantic leap of faith and heads off for the weekend with Dan.


P3 H2O / season 2 - episode 8

At the summer camp where their mother died, the sisters learn that the water demon responsible is still drowning people in the lake. Prue (Shannen Doherty), Piper (Holly Marie Combs) and Phoebe (Alyssa Milano) witness two more present-day violent drownings and meet Sam, a homeless man who they find out was once their mother's White Lighter. To save the young campers who are returning to the newly opened camp, Prue must face her greatest fear and follow in her mother's fatal footsteps to destroy a watery demon. Meanwhile, Leo (Brian Krause) and Piper learn that they aren't the first White Lighter and witch to fall in love.


Hellfire / season 2 - episode 9

The Halliwell sisters are targeted by a hit woman known as Ms. Hellfire who is killed by Prue (Shannen Doherty) in the attempt. While Piper (Holly Marie Combs) and Phoebe (Alyssa Milano) race against time to protect the next potential target on the hit list Prue's undercover work gets her entangled with a ruthless criminal who ultimately leads the Halliwell sisters to a confrontation with their old enemy, Barbas.


Heartbreak City / season 2 - episode 10

A demon sets out to destroy Cupid and all his recent love matches, putting the relationships of the Charmed Ones in danger. Prue (Shannen Doherty) uses her newly discovered power of astral projection, to help Piper (Holly Marie Combs) and Phoebe (Alyssa Milano) kill Drazi, but Drazi returns from the dead to wreak havoc in the love lives of the Charmed Ones a second time. Phoebe convinces Piper to freeze the demon of hate, returning Cupid his love ring, so that the second time they try the demon is banished forever. All returns to normal in the love lives of the Charmed Ones and many others. Even Phoebe gets a thank you kiss from Cupid that leaves her smiling.


Reckless Abandon / season 2 - episode 11

Phoebe (Alyssa Milano) finds an abandoned baby boy and takes him home after having a vision of a ghost trying to kill him. The sisters learn that it isn't easy taking care of a baby. Searching for the parents they learn a vengeful spirit has methodically killed all of the men in the child's family and is bent on killing the baby. Meanwhile, Jack tries to persuade Prue (Shannen Doherty) to accompany him on a business trip and Piper's (Holly Marie Combs) relationship with Dan takes an exciting turn.


Awakened / season 2 - episode 12

When Piper (Holly Marie Combs) suddenly comes down with a mysterious and life-threatening illness that appears incurable, Prue (Shannen Doherty) and Phoebe (Alyssa Milano) ignore the code which prevents witches from using spells for personal gain and cure Piper with an "Awakening spell." The spell has an unfortunate side effect of spreading the dangerous disease to other patients in the hospital. Determined to save innocent lives, Piper puts her own life in danger insisting her sisters help her reverse the spell. Unable to watch Piper die, Leo (Brian Krause) risks his own code of ethics saving Piper at the last minute. Altered by life's recent events, Prue says good-bye to her job and Jack.


Animal Pragmatism / season 2 - episode 13

A trio of college girls looking for men on Valentine's Day turn to magic for a solution by transforming three animals into men with some indirect help from Phoebe (Alyssa Milano). As the former animals decide that they want to remain human, they turn on the girls and start looking for Phoebe to work the magic needed to prevent them from returning to their animal selfs. Piper's (Holly Marie Combs) relationship with Dan is strained when she decides to give Leo (Brian Krause) a Valentine's card and Prue (Shannen Doherty) attempts to spend a day doing nothing now that she's out of work.


Pardon My Past / season 2 - episode 14

One of Phoebe's (Alyssa Milano) past lives comes back to haunt her as she learns that in the 1924 her past self was seduced by a warlock named Anton in attempt to steal her cousins' (Prue (Shannen Doherty) and Piper's (Holly Marie Combs) past lives) powers. Phoebe soon discovers that the untimely death in her past life will led to her death in the present unless she can prevent it while Anton continues to to attempt to steal the powers. The entire event was confusing for Phoebe who is heartbroken by her past evil ways and Piper who learned although she was married to Dan in a past life, Leo (Brian Krause) was her lover. Piper apparently had to choose between Dan and Leo before, and, Leo knew it all along.


Give Me a Sign / season 2 - episode 15

A demon known as Litvack orders his henchmen to kill Bane Jessup, who Prue (Shannen Doherty) helped to put behind bars when Bane tried to have the Charmed Ones killed. Bane manages to escape and kidnaps Prue hoping her powers will help protect him. Prue refuses to help at first, but later gives in to her growing attraction for Bane. Meanwhile, the mutual attraction for Prue and Bane is difficult for Prue to deny and a spell that Phoebe (Alyssa Milano) cast to help Piper (Holly Marie Combs) decide between Leo (Brian Krause) and Dan only adds to her confusion.


Murphy's Luck / season 2 - episode 16

Prue (Shannen Doherty) gets her first professional assignment photographing "the unluckiest woman in San Francisco", but the photo shoot turns into a rescue when Prue realizes the woman is so tormented by her run of bad luck that she's willing to end her own life. When Prue learns the woman's string of tragic events are actually the work of a Darklighter, Prue soon becomes his next tormented victim. Piper (Holly Marie Combs) and Phoebe (Alyssa Milano) rush to save their sister from her own desperate suicide attempt while Leo (Brian Krause) intervenes making a selfless sacrifice in order to put an end to the Darklighter's powers.


How to Make a Quilt out of Americans / season 2 - episode 17

The Halliwells' aunt asks the sisters for help when a number of corpses turn up in her town. But it turns out Aunt Gail is only interested in stealing the powers of the Charmed Ones in order to gain back her youth from the demon Cryto. When the sisters discover their powers have been taken from them, Piper (Holly Marie Combs) sees this as a way to regain a normal life without witchcraft and hesitates to retrieve her lost powers. As the Charmed Ones plot to regain their powers, Piper has doubts about wanting her powers back at all claiming that being a witch is keeping her from a chance at true love.


Chick Flick / season 2 - episode 18

Written by: Zack Estrin and Chris Levinson
The Charmed Ones encounter a demon who has the ability to make images from film come to life. He proceeds to send the silver screen's worst psychopaths against the Haliwell sisters, who must find a way to send them back to the reel world. With Billy and Leo's (Brian Krause) help, The Charmed Ones vanquish the killer characters and join the demon in an on-screen battle of good vs. evil. Although Piper (Holly Marie Combs) and Phoebe (Alyssa Milano) almost get trapped when the movie prematurely ends, the on-screen witches are able to conquer the demon on his own turf and leap back to the off-screen world while Phoebe says a heart-tugging good-bye to her two-dimensional boyfriend.


Ex Libris / season 2 - episode 19

Phoebe (Alyssa Milano) meets a monster that kills innocent mortals when they get close to finding physical proof of the existence of demons. While Piper (Holly Marie Combs) discovers Leo (Brian Krause) has secrets, Phoebe is trying to help Charlene, the ghost of a fellow student who was killed by a demon known as Libris who wanted to stop the publication of Charlene's thesis proving the existence of evil. Charlene helps vanquish Libris before he can do harm to his next victim, Phoebe, but Charlene is kept from crossing over to the other world until she helps Prue (Shannen Doherty) capture a murderer.


Astral Monkey / season 2 - episode 20

A doctor investigating the sisters' strange talents imbues three monkeys with their abilities, then accidentally receives all their powers at once, which threatens to drive him mad. While Prue (Shannen Doherty), Piper (Holly Marie Combs) and Phoebe (Alyssa Milano) are trying to put an end to the doctors house calls Prue is assigned to photographing a handsome actor and ends up in the tabloid newspapers.


Apocalypse Not / season 2 - episode 21

The Charmed Ones face their most deadly, powerful challenge to date: the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse. Much to Leo's (Brian Krause) dismay, the three remaining evildoers strike a pact with Piper (Holly Marie Combs) and Phoebe (Alyssa Milano) to work together to save Prue (Shannen Doherty) and the fourth horseman from their demise in the other dimension. After wrestling with the reality that saving Prue will bring about the end of the world, Piper and Phoebe make the ultimate sacrifice and refuse to help the remaining horseman save their friend...and Prue. The selfless act actually saves Prue anyway and pulls both Prue and the Fourth Horseman back to the real world where the Halliwell sisters face the sacrifice they were about to make to save the innocents of the world.


Be Careful What You Witch For / season 2 - episode 22

The sisters have angered the Infernal Council so often that they want to teach the Halliwells a lesson. It involves a genie who is sent to grant them each a wish. Even Leo's (Brian Krause) healing powers couldn't bring Prue (Shannen Doherty) back to life, but, the genie offers to go back in the bottle to save Prue and return all to normal. When this still doesn't bring their sister back Piper (Holly Marie Combs) rubs the bottle releasing the genie again and wishes Prue back to life so that The Power of Three can vanquish away the dragon demon in a burst of flames. Meanwhile, Dan's heartbreak is compounded by the new knowledge that Piper is a witch. The Charmed Ones use there remaining wishes to free the genie but make him mortal and give Dan peace of mind by erasing his horrorifying experience and newfound knowledge of evil away.
