Joey (Matt LeBlanc) and Phoebe (Lisa Kudrow) drive Phoebe's cab back from Vegas and Joey sleeps through most of the trip, so a bitter Phoebe hangs out with a hitch-hiker. Monica (Courteney Cox) and Chandler (Matthew Perry) both realize that they don't want to be married, although they still love each other. They decide to let fate decide, and find themselves surrounded by matrimonial signs, but end up deciding to move in together, only to have the door jam between them.
The One Where Ross Hugs Rachel / season 6 - episode 2 Written by: Shana Goldberg-Meehan Directed by: Gail Mancuso Phoebe (Lisa Kudrow) counsels Ross (David Schwimmer) on ending his third marriage, and Ross doesn't tell Rachel (Jennifer Aniston) that their marriage isn't already annulled. Monica (Courteney Cox) and Chandler (Matthew Perry) tell Rachel and Joey (Matt LeBlanc) about the fact that they're moving into together.
The One With Ross's Denial / season 6 - episode 3 Written by: Seth Kurland Directed by: Gary Halvorson Phoebe (Lisa Kudrow) keeps telling Ross (David Schwimmer) that he's still in love with Rachel (Jennifer Aniston), but he keeps denying it. Rachel is looking for a place to live, and Ross wants her to move in with him. Joey (Matt LeBlanc) is looking for a cute female roommate. Monica (Courteney Cox) and Chandler (Matthew Perry) almost don't move in together when they fight over what to do with the spare bedroom and where Chandler's lounge chair is going to go.
The One Where Joey Loses His Insurance / season 6 - episode 4 Written by: Andrew Reich & Ted Cohen Directed by: Gary Halvorson As Rachel (Jennifer Aniston) is packing to move, she packs a set of candle-sticks that she thinks she bought, but Monica (Courteney Cox) disagrees. They fight over them until they each just decide to take one. Ross (David Schwimmer) gets a temporary job lecturing at NYU, and he's so nervous that he finds himself lecturing in a British accent. He tries to phase the accent out, but blatantly gets busted by his students. He's in the process of making amends when Rachel bursts into the lecture hall yelling at him because she just picked up his phone when it rang and spoke to Ross's divorce lawyer who told her that Ross was still married.
The One With Joey's Porsche / season 6 - episode 5 Written by: Perry Rein & Gigi McCreery Directed by: Gary Halvorson Rachel (Jennifer Aniston) is furious that Ross (David Schwimmer) didn't get their annulment like he said they did. She decides to file the papers herself, and claims that Ross is mentally unbalanced, addicted to IV drugs, gay, and unable to consummate the marriage. The judge doesn't grant the annulment, so Ross gets them divorce papers. While signing the papers, Rachel tells Ross that she now remembers that getting married in Vegas was her idea, and they part friends. Joey (Matt LeBlanc) finds the keys to a Porsche, and finds that pretending it's his is a really great way to meet people... particularly women. When the owner of the Porsche returns for his car, Joey decides to wear Porsche gear to make people think he's a Porsche owner.
The One On The Last Night / season 6 - episode 6 Written by: Scott Silveri Directed by: David Schwimmer Chandler (Matthew Perry) tries to get Joey (Matt LeBlanc) to accept some money so he'll be able to get by for a few months without a roommate. Joey won't take it, but Chandler invents a game called "Cups" and lets Joey win the money. Later, Joey teaches Ross (David Schwimmer) to play Cups, and loses all the money to him. While packing on Rachel's (Jennifer Aniston) last night in the apartment, Phoebe's (Lisa Kudrow) misguided advice leads Monica (Courteney Cox) and Rachel to fighting. Ross doesn't want to help with the packing, so he says he has to take care of Ben. Since Monica can see into his apartment, he makes a "fake Ben" to fool her.
The One Where Phoebe Runs / season 6 - episode 7 Written by: Sherry Bilsing-Graham & Ellen Plummer Directed by: Gary Halvorson Rachel (Jennifer Aniston) can't stand to run with Phoebe (Lisa Kudrow) because Phoebe looks like such an idiot when she runs. Phoebe explains that she runs like she did when she was a kid, 'cause it's more fun that way, and Rachel realizes she's right. Joey (Matt LeBlanc) gets a sexy new roommate named Janine who's a dancer from Australia, and tries desperately not to flirt with her, but thinks she's attracted to him anyway. Chandler (Matthew Perry) and Ross (David Schwimmer) give Joey advice on how to repel women, but then Joey finds out that Janine really isn't attracted to him and he's horrified.
The One With Ross's Teeth / season 6 - episode 8 Directed by: Gary Halvorson Story by: Andrew Reich & Ted Cohen Phoebe (Lisa Kudrow) visits Rachel (Jennifer Aniston) at work and makes out with Kenny the copy boy, thinking it's Ralph Lauren. She tells Rachel, who gossips to her boss (Kim), who eventually becomes convinced that Rachel is having an affair with Ralph Lauren in order to get Kim's job. Ross (David Schwimmer) goes too far when he whitens his teeth in preparation for a date with Hillary, Monica's (Courteney Cox) co-worker. Chandler (Matthew Perry) tries to convince Joey (Matt LeBlanc) that he's letting Janine make him and the apartment too girly.
The One Where Ross Got High / season 6 - episode 9 Written by: Greg Malins Directed by: Kevin S. Bright For Thanksgiving, Janine invites Joey (Matt LeBlanc) and Ross (David Schwimmer) to hang out with her and her dancer friends, but they have to eat dinner at Monica's (Courteney Cox) first. Mr. and Mrs. Geller come over as well, and Chandler (Matthew Perry) finds out they don't like him because they think he does drugs; Ross once told them.
The One With The Routine / season 6 - episode 10 Written by: Brian Boyle Directed by: Kevin S. Bright Janine invites Joey (Matt LeBlanc), Monica (Courteney Cox) and Ross (David Schwimmer) to a the dance-segment taping of Dick Clark's Rockin' New Year's Eve. Joey plots to kiss Janine at fake-midnight, but the scene is cut before he gets the chance. When they get home, Janine re-enacts the count-down and kisses him. Monica and Ross watch Dick Clark every year, and are really excited to be on the show. In order to get camera-time, they re-enact a routine they did together in eighth grade, but it only gets them on the bloopers reel.
The One With The Apothecary Table / season 6 - episode 11 Written by: Brian Boyle Directed by: Kevin S. Bright Rachel (Jennifer Aniston) buys a table from Pottery Barn, and then finds out that Phoebe (Lisa Kudrow) hates mass-produced furniture. She makes up a story about buying the antique table at a flea market, and then proceeds to buy out like all of Pottery Barn, making up flea market stories for each piece. Phoebe loves it all, and then sees her living room in the window of a Pottery Barn store. She's horrified, but still loves the stuff and has to go in and buy a lamp.
The One With The Joke / season 6 - episode 12 Written by: Andrew Reich & Ted Cohen Directed by: Gary Halvorson Ross (David Schwimmer) and Chandler (Matthew Perry) argue over authorship of a joke that Ross gets published in Playboy. Phoebe (Lisa Kudrow) offends Monica (Courteney Cox) by saying she'd rather hypothetically date Rachel (Jennifer Aniston) and that Monica is high-maintenance. Joey (Matt LeBlanc) is having trouble paying bills now that Janine has moved out, so he starts working at the coffee shop even though he's ashamed of it.
The One With Rachel's Sister / season 6 - episode 13 Directed by: Gary Halvorson Story by: Seth Kurland Rachel's (Jennifer Aniston) spoiled little sister comes to town after getting cut off by their father and goes on a date with Ross (David Schwimmer). Rachel is incredibly upset by this even though she tries to play it cool. Joey (Matt LeBlanc) keeps giving away food to pretty customers at the coffeehouse. Monica (Courteney Cox) refuses to admit she's sick, and keeps wanting to have sex with Chandler (Matthew Perry) to prove that she's well, but Chandler doesn't want to have sex with a sick person. She finally seduces him with vapor rub.
The One Where Chandler Can't Cry / season 6 - episode 14 Written by: Andrew Reich & Ted Cohen Directed by: Kevin S. Bright Rachel (Jennifer Aniston) finally admits to Ross (David Schwimmer) that it bothers her that he's dating her sister, and he breaks things off with Jill. Jill fights with Rachel over Ross, and tries to seduce Ross to get back at Rachel, but Ross says no to her so that someday he may be able to get back together with Rachel.Phoebe (Lisa Kudrow) finds out that her twin sister Ursula has been doing porn films and using Phoebe's name. Monica (Courteney Cox) is upset when she realizes that Chandler (Matthew Perry) is incapable of crying.
The One That Could Have Been (1) / season 6 - episode 15 Written by: Greg Malins & Adam Chase Directed by: Michael Lembeck We get to see what the Friends' lives would be like if Rachel (Jennifer Aniston) had married Barry, Ross's (David Schwimmer) wife Carol hadn't figured out she was gay, Joey (Matt LeBlanc) hadn't lost his job as Dr. Drake Ramoray on "Days of Our Lives," Monica (Courteney Cox) was still fat, Phoebe (Lisa Kudrow) had taken a job offer as a stock broker, and Chandler (Matthew Perry) had had the guts to quit his job and become a comedy writer. Joey is rich and famous, and when Rachel is introduced to him she considers having an affair with him.
The One That Could Have Been (2) / season 6 - episode 16 Written by: David Crane & Marta Kauffman Directed by: Michael Lembeck Chandler (Matthew Perry) is poor and and has to get a job as Joey's (Matt LeBlanc) assistant to make money. Monica (Courteney Cox) is a virgin and is dating a boring doctor, but ends up losing her virginity to Chandler who expresses how much he cares for her and gets her to dump the doctor. Ross (David Schwimmer) is having marital problems, and suggests to his wife that they spice up their sex life. She jumps at his idea of a threesome, and after the experience, which wasn't much for Ross, he finally realizes that she's gay.
The One With Unagi / season 6 - episode 17 Directed by: Gary Halvorson Story by: Zachary Rosenblatt Chandler (Matthew Perry) and Monica (Courteney Cox) are celebrating Valentine's Day a couple weeks late, and have agreed to MAKE each other presents rather than buy them. Of course, they both forget until the last minute. Chandler finds an old mix tape that he gives to Monica, while Monica gives Chandler a sock-bunny that Phoebe (Lisa Kudrow) actually made. Monica is easily busted, and she feels so bad that she gave Chandler a lousy fake gift and Chandler went to the trouble of making her a mix tape that she cooks him his favorite meals and gives him his choice in the bedroom as well.
The One Where Ross Dates A Student / season 6 - episode 18 Written by: Seth Kurland Directed by: Gary Halvorson Ross (David Schwimmer) starts dating one of his students even though he believes it's frowned upon. When he finds out it's actually against the rules and he could get fired for it, he has trouble breaking off the relationship. There is a fire at Phoebe (Lisa Kudrow) and Rachel's (Jennifer Aniston) place and they need to stay with friends due to the damage. Since Phoebe believes it was her candles that set the fire, she lets Rachel stay at comfy hotel-Monica (Courteney Cox) while Phoebe stays with Joey (Matt LeBlanc) and a bad smell.
The One With Joey's Fridge / season 6 - episode 19 Directed by: Ben Weiss Story by: Seth Kurland Phoebe (Lisa Kudrow) competes with Monica (Courteney Cox) and Chandler (Matthew Perry) to see who can find the best date for Rachel (Jennifer Aniston) for a benefit ball. Rachel ends up alone because her crazed friends keep driving away all her potential dates. Joey (Matt LeBlanc) schemes to get one of his friends to pay for a new refrigerator when his breaks. Ross (David Schwimmer) is nervous when his college-student girlfriend, Elizabeth, decides to go to Daytona Beach for spring.
The One With Mac And C.H.E.E.S.E. / season 6 - episode 20 Written by: Doty Abrams Directed by: Kevin S. Bright Joey (Matt LeBlanc) auditions for a new TV show and makes the call-back list; but when the call-back time gets changed, Chandler (Matthew Perry) neglects to give Joey the message. Chandler has a chance to redeem himself when he takes a message that the part is available again. Phoebe (Lisa Kudrow) and Ross (David Schwimmer) help Joey run his lines, and they become convinced that they're great actors.
The One Where Ross Meets Elizabeth's Dad / season 6 - episode 21 Directed by: Michael Lembeck Teleplay by: Scott Silveri Story by: David J. Lagana Ross (David Schwimmer) meets Elizabeth's father, Paul, who hates him on sight. It doesn't help when Rachel (Jennifer Aniston) hooks up with Paul, the foursome go out for dinner, and Rachel lets Ross's bad marriage history slip. Phoebe (Lisa Kudrow) is writing a book on relationship don'ts, and is driving Monica (Courteney Cox) and Chandler (Matthew Perry) nuts by documenting their life. Joey's (Matt LeBlanc) new job as the star of his own series is in danger when he meets the guy who created his co-star, the robot, and pisses him off.
The One Where Paul's The Man / season 6 - episode 22 Directed by: Gary Halvorson Teleplay by: Sherry Bilsing & Ellen Plummer Story by: Brian Caldirola Ross (David Schwimmer) goes away for the weekend with Liz and gets busted by her father. Joey (Matt LeBlanc) tries to get his picture back up on the wall at his local dry-cleaner's. Monica (Courteney Cox) puts her name down at a museum for her future wedding.
The One With The Ring / season 6 - episode 23 Written by: Andrew Reich & Ted Cohen Directed by: Gary Halvorson Chandler (Matthew Perry) buys an engagement ring. Ross (David Schwimmer) and Joey (Matt LeBlanc) think Chandler is mad at them. Rachel (Jennifer Aniston) encourages Paul to open up.
The One With The Proposal (1) / season 6 - episode 24 Written by: Shana Goldberg-Meehan & Scott Silveri Directed by: Kevin S. Bright Chandler (Matthew Perry) tells everyone except Monica (Courteney Cox) that he's preparing to propose, and then takes Monica out for dinner to do the deed. They run into Richard and Chandler loses his opportunity. All of their friends almost give it away, not knowing that Chandler wasn't able to propose, and so Chandler decides to disparage marriage in order to throw Monica off the scent. Meanwhile, Richard visits Monica at work and tells her that he still loves her and wants to marry her and have children with her.
The One With The Proposal (2) / season 6 - episode 25 Written by: Andrew Reich & Ted Cohen Directed by: Kevin S. Bright To make his eventual proposal a surprise, Chandler (Matthew Perry) begins his campaign to convince Monica (Courteney Cox) he never wants to get married. Richard shows up at Monica's restaurant and tells her he still loves her, leading Monica struggling with what she wants for her future. Joey (Matt LeBlanc) hangs out in his new Captain's outfit.
