While George worries that Karen may be giving him a similar treatment and delicately questions her about their sex life, Jerry asks for another chance to satisfy Elaine. But, worried about the consequences, she refuses and jeopardizes the future of the their friendship. Meanwhile, returning a bad peach to Joe the greengrocer ends up getting Kramer (Michael Richards) banned from his store. As Kramer lets his friends in on Leslie's latest creation, a puffy shirt like the ones worn by pirates, Elaine announces that Jerry will be appearing on "The Today Show" to promote a charity benefit. Meanwhile, during dinner with his parents, George inadvertently collides with a modelling agency owner who notices he has a pair of remarkable hands. The Glasses / season 5 - episode 3 Writer: Tom Gammill & Max Pross Director: Tom Cherones George's (Jason Alexander) glasses are stolen and he needs a new pair, so he goes to see Kramer's (Michael Richards) friend to get a thirty percent discount; all Elaine (Julia Louis-Dreyfus) gets is bitten by a dog and then she becomes afraid of them. While not wearing his glasses, George thinks he sees Jerry's (Jerry Seinfeld) girlfriend kissing Jerry's cousin and Jerry tries to figure out if it's true. The Sniffing Accountant / season 5 - episode 4 Writer: Larry David & Jerry Seinfeld Director: Tom Cherones When Elaine (Julia Louis-Dreyfus) spots their accountant on the street and invites him up, Jerry (Jerry Seinfeld) worries that Barry's persistent sniffing might indicate a drug problem. While telling Kramer (Michael Richards) of his suspicions, Jerry then gives his neighbor an old sweater which he claims is too itchy for him to wear. Meanwhile, when his father arranges an interview for a job selling bras, George (Jason Alexander) is forced to suffer through an argument with his parents about the undergarment. Upon learning that Barry is on a trip to South America, Jerry enlists Kramer and Newman in a plan to uncover the accountant's drug problem. The Bris / season 5 - episode 5 Writer: Larry David & Jerry Seinfeld Director: Tom Cherones George (Jason Alexander) gets a great parking spot that becomes a target. Kramer (Michael Richards) thinks that he has stumbled on the product of a genetic engineering experiment, a "pig man". Elaine (Julia Louis-Dreyfus) and Jerry (Jerry Seinfeld) are nervous about the religious duties they must do when they agree to become godparents to a couple's newborn, including getting the Mohel and holding the baby for the circumcision. The Lip Reader / season 5 - episode 6 Writer: Carol Leifer Director: Tom Cherones Kramer (Michael Richards) becomes a ballboy for the US Open and brings Jerry (Jerry Seinfeld) along. Jerry feels attraced to one of the players and after urging by George (Jason Alexander) gains the courage to approach her after a match and talk to her. She is deaf and Jerry goes out with her later. George and Jerry contemplate the powers of the deaf woman's lipreading abilities. George and Jerry talk in a coffee shop about this and constantly conceal their lips by coughing and covering their mouths with their hands to thwart her lipreading abilities. George wants to use the lipreader to learn why an ex girlfriend dumped him. Jerry says this would be exploitation. The Non-Fat Yogurt / season 5 - episode 7 Writer: Larry David Director: Tom Cherones When they begin to gain weight, Jerry (Jerry Seinfeld) and Elaine (Julia Louis-Dreyfus) suspect that Kramer (Michael Richards) has made a bad investment in a non-fat yogurt shop. Jerry inadvertently uses the "F" word, as a result so does Maryedith's son Matthew, a lot. George (Jason Alexander) meets an old childhood friend whom he is convinced is trying to humiliate him. Elaine begins dating this friend and gives him an idea for his mayoral candidate's campaign. Kramer's date with a lab technician results in strange test results for the future mayor of New York City. The Barber / season 5 - episode 8 Writer: Andy Robin Director: Tom Cherones George (Jason Alexander) is uncertain about whether his job interview was successful or not, so he decides to go into the office and act like an employee while the boss is on vacation. Jerry (Jerry Seinfeld) is reluctant to dump his old barber even when he is given a real bad haircut. Kramer (Michael Richards) arranges to get him a clandestine haircut at the apartment of his barber. Newman is charged by Jerry's barber to get a sample of Jerry's hair when he suspects foul play. The Masseuse / season 5 - episode 9 Writer: Peter Mehlman Director: Tom Cherones Elaine (Julia Louis-Dreyfus) dates a man named Joel Rifkin whose name is the same as that of a famous serial killer. She tries to talk him into changing his name at first he scuffs at the idea. During a sporting event his name is called up and the crowd looks up puzzled so Joel decides its time to get a new name. Elaine and he think up some possible names. He likes Stuart and Alex. She likes Elis and OJ. Jerry (Jerry Seinfeld) dates a masseuse that just won't give him a massage. Jerry tells Kramer (Michael Richards) that if he can't get a massage neither should Kramer. George (Jason Alexander) and his girlfriend go out with Jerry and his masseuse girlfriend. The Cigar Store Indian / season 5 - episode 10 Writer: Tom Gammill & Max Pross Director: Tom Cherones When Jerry (Jerry Seinfeld) accidentally stains the Costanza's coffee table, George (Jason Alexander) insists it be taken to be refinished before his parents return from their trip. So, taking the subway home with an old TV Guide to read, after Kramer (Michael Richards) is left behind while stopping to pick.up a quick snack, Elaine (Julia Louis-Dreyfus) is forced to make the trip with Ricky, an annoying passenger with a passion for television. Meanwhile, as Jerry is buying Elaine a gift to make up for leaving her without a ride, George is impressing Sylvia, a woman who works at Gepetto's Furniture Store. But, upon arriving at Elaine's with a cigar store indian and hoping that his generosity will not go unnoticed by her friend, Jerry is told that Winona took offense at the gift because she is a Native American. The Conversion / season 5 - episode 11 Writer: Bruce Kirschbaum Director: Tom Cherones While on a date with Sasha, George (Jason Alexander) learns that the differences in their religions have caused her parents to order her to stop seeing him. So, while George decides to convert to the Latvian Orthodox faith, after questioning the qualifications of Elaine's (Julia Louis-Dreyfus) podiatrist, Jerry (Jerry Seinfeld) makes a date to see his new neighbor, Tawni. But, when a peek into her medicine cabinet uncovers a fungicide, he decides that, before going any further, he must know what it is for. So, as Jerry asks Elaine to ask her podiatrist identify the ointment, George meets with the Latvian Orthodox priests to discuss his conversion. The Stall / season 5 - episode 12 Writer: Larry Charles Director: Tom Cherones While in a bathroom stall, Elaine (Julia Louis-Dreyfus) needs some toilet paper, but the woman in the next stall refuses to give her a piece. The woman is Jerry's (Jerry Seinfeld) girlfriend whose voice Kramer (Michael Richards) recognizes from a telephone sex line. Elaine's boyfriend, whose face she just loves, takes George (Jason Alexander) & Kramer rock climbing. After his accident, Elaine isn't sure his face will be the same. The Dinner Party / season 5 - episode 13 Writer: Larry David Director: Tom Cherones Denouncing the custom of bringing wine for their hosts, George (Jason Alexander) dons a bulky new parka to protect him against the bitter cold and joins his friends in Kramer's (Michael Richards) car for the trip to a dinner party. However, when Elaine (Julia Louis-Dreyfus) decides that they should also bring dessert, she and Jerry (Jerry Seinfeld) stop at bakery while, still bristling at the obligation, George joins Kramer at the liquor store to purchase a suitable wine. Having neglected to take a number and secure their place in line, Jerry and Elaine then try to convince another couple that they were there first. The Marine Biologist / season 5 - episode 14 Writer: Ron Hague & Charlie Rubin Director: Tom Cherones A college aquaintaince of Jerry (Jerry Seinfeld) and George (Jason Alexander) asks about how things are going for George. Jerry tells her that George is now a marine biologist. George one day is walking on the beach and is asked to use his scientific knowledge to help save a whale. George fakes it as best he can. Kramer (Michael Richards) has difficulty with golf as he constantly hits the grass and the sand rather than the ball. Elaine (Julia Louis-Dreyfus) watches as her electronic pocket organizer is thrown out of a limousine by a Russian writer. It strikes someone in the head. The Pie / season 5 - episode 15 Writer: Tom Gammill & Max Pross Director: Tom Cherones After his date Audrey adamantly refuses to taste a restaurant's famous apple pie, Jerry (Jerry Seinfeld) immediately becomes suspicious while, struggling with an incurable itch, Kramer (Michael Richards) claims he saw a mannequin that looks exactly like Elaine (Julia Louis-Dreyfus). Discovering it is true, Elaine tangles with a haughty saleslady who encourages George's (Jason Alexander) infatuation with an expensive suit she says is about to go on sale. So, as Elaine searches for information about the mannequin's origin and Jerry pursues his obsession with Audrey's refusal of the pie, Kramer falls in love with a long-nailed restaurant cashier, while George tries to protect his newly beloved suit from being sold. The Stand-In / season 5 - episode 16 Writer: Larry David Director: Tom Cherones Kramer (Michael Richards) talks his stand-in friend, a "little person" into getting lifts, to keep his job. Jerry (Jerry Seinfeld) visits a sick friend, who's in need of a good laugh, at the hospital. George (Jason Alexander) and his latest girlfriend have nothing to say to each other, he wants to break up, but won't when he finds out she is being urged to break it off. One of Jerry's friends "takes it out" while on his first date with Elaine (Julia Louis-Dreyfus). Jerry's friend takes a turn for the worse after his first visit, so he tries again. The Wife / season 5 - episode 17 Writer: Peter Mehlman Director: Tom Cherones After Jerry (Jerry Seinfeld) returns a lost locket that once belonged to the dry cleaner's late wife, Marty rewards him with a lifetime discount on all his cleaning. However, overhearing the offer, Jerry's new girlfriend Meryl claims they are married in order to be included, too. So, as they enjoy the idea of being married, Kramer (Michael Richards) asks if they will take his quilt in to be cleaned. Meanwhile, a kiss at her health club suggests to Elaine (Julia Louis-Dreyfus) that Greg is interested in a romantic relationship, while George (Jason Alexander) admits to urinating in the club's shower. While Jerry is forced to tell his Uncle Leo that he is married, Greg's wiping off the mouth of her water bottle before accepting a drink causes Elaine to reconsider his intentions as she learns that he saw George peeing in the shower. The Raincoats (1) / season 5 - episode 18 Writer: Larry David & Jerry Seinfeld & Tom Gammill & Max Pross Director: Tom Cherones When Jerry's (Jerry Seinfeld) parents come to stay en route to France, George (Jason Alexander) extends them an invitation to join his mom and dad for dinner. Then, to avoid having to be a Big Brother, George claims he is going to France and then asks the Seinfelds to send postcards to make it seem as though he is really there. Meanwhile, after Kramer (Michael Richards) encourages George to sell his father's old clothes to a thrift store, the Seinfelds falsely claim they already have dinner plans, not wanting to admit that they just don't like the Costanzas. Then, after Elaine's (Julia Louis-Dreyfus) new boyfriend takes the Seinfelds for a behind the scenes museum tour, Kramer drops by wearing a raincoat created by Jerry's dad. Told they are now valuable, Morty says he still has boxes of the coats in his garage and Kramer offers to sell them in exchange for a cut of the profits. The Raincoats (2) / season 5 - episode 19 Writer: Larry David & Jerry Seinfeld & Tom Gammill & Max Pross Director: Tom Cherones The Costanzas decide to take a cruise, only to have Frank discover that all of his cabana wear is missing. Though realizing his mistake, George (Jason Alexander) is unaware that Rudy has burned them, while Newman is disgusted when he sees Jerry (Jerry Seinfeld) and his girlfriend Rachel making out during Schindler's List. Arriving at the thrift store where he tries to get the clothes back, George complains about the Seinfelds and prompts Kramer (Michael Richards) to conclude that his deal with Morty isn't lucrative enough. But, after Morty decides that it is Kramer who is actually getting too much, they finally negotiate a price just like their original deal. Deciding to cause Jerry trouble, Newman tells the Seinfelds about his behavior during the movie while, getting more bad news about the raincoats, Morty calls off the trip to France so he can complete his deal with Kramer. The Fire / season 5 - episode 20 Writer: Larry Charles Director: Tom Cherones Kramer (Michael Richards) is dating one of Elaine's (Julia Louis-Dreyfus) co-workers, a woman who drives her crazy. Kramer brings her to one of Jerry's (Jerry Seinfeld) shows, where she heckles him relentlessly; unfortunately there is a national magazine critic in the audience. George (Jason Alexander) panics when there is a fire at his girlfriend's apartment, during her son's birthday party. Jerry decides to get revenge by heckling the woman where she works. She runs out of the office onto the street and loses her pinkie toe. Kramer finds the toe, takes a bus to the hospital and saves the passengers from a gunman. Inspired by Kramer's tale, George tries to confront his feelings of cowardice. The Hamptons / season 5 - episode 21 Writer: Peter Mehlman & Carol Leifer Director: Tom Cherones As Jerry (Jerry Seinfeld), Elaine (Julia Louis-Dreyfus) and Kramer (Michael Richards) head for a weekend at Michael and Carol's beach house in the Hamptons, George (Jason Alexander) makes the trip with his latest girlfriend, Jane. Yet, when George sets off to buy some tomatoes for his mother, Jerry, Kramer and Elaine are more than a little surprised when Jane decides to go topless. Meanwhile, though she and Jerry are shocked by their host's ugly baby, upon meeting the baby's pediatrician Elaine is quite taken, particularly after the doctor refers to her as breathtaking. However, her excitement is short-lived after he calls the ugly baby breathtaking, too. Then, arriving by train, Jerry's girlfriend Rachel gives George a perfunctory greeting as she quickly heads off to change, as a beachcombing Kramer (Michael Richards) returns with a full lobster trap and casually mentions that he saw Jane topless. The Opposite / season 5 - episode 22 Writer: Andy Cowan & Larry David & Jerry Seinfeld Director: Tom Cherones George (Jason Alexander) comes to the realization that he should try to do the opposite of everything, so he does, his luck changes and everything begins to go his way including getting a girlfriend, a job with the Yankees and moving out of his parents house. Things begin to be unlucky for Elaine (Julia Louis-Dreyfus) after she buys a box of "Jujyfruits." Kramer (Michael Richards) appears on Regis & Kathie Lee to promote his coffee table book. Rachel wants to break up with Jerry (Jerry Seinfeld) and he readily agrees, because his luck has been "even Steven."
