At Miranda's thirty-something party the ladies debate having sex like men. Carrie runs into a man she hade a mistake with thrice, so she uses him for her pleasure and then leaves him unsatisfied. Carrie runs into Mr. Big for the first time and Skipper admitts to not having sex for over a year, so Carrie sets him up with Miranda although she knew she'd hate him. The ladies meet at 'Chaos' where Carrie runs into Mr Big again and Samanatha tries to hit on him but fails.
Models and mortals / season 1 - episode 2 Directed by: Allison Maclean Written by: Darren Star At a "thirty-something" birthday party for Miranda, Carrie (Sarah Jessica Parker) and her friends vow to start having sex like men. Carrie experiments with an old flame and meets Mr Big. Miranda makes the mistake of going out with a man who is obsessed with models; Samantha (Kim Kattrall) chooses to go out with a "modeliser" and has her sexual encounter videotaped; and Carrie experiments with a handsome model and researches.

So she leaves. She bumps into her friend who turns out to be gay, and he asks her to donate an egg, and she is horrified. Miranda is set up by a lawyer at her firm with a girl, and is invited to a party, which she thinks is because she is 'gay'. Carrie has a lunch with her favourite couple and their single friend just happens to stop by and they go on a date. Carrie realises he isn't right for her when she finds he is obsessed with marriage and bumps into Patience and Peter at his party.
Valley of the twenty-something guys / season 1 - episode 4 Directed by: Alison Maclean Written by: Michael Patrick King Are men in their twenties the new designer drug? One hit and you're hooked? Carrie (Sarah Jessica Parker), Miranda and Samantha (Kim Kattrall) experience the pros and cons of dating twenty-something guys, while Charlotte's (Kristin Davis) forty-something boyfriend has an unusual sexual favour to ask. Carrie is invited to a couple's house in the Hamptons, only to be flashed by the husband and asked to leave. Miranda realises that having a boyfriend will help her career when her law firm suspects that she might be a lesbian.

Carrie (Sarah Jessica Parker) thinks Mr. Big is keeping her a secret, while Miranda discovers a secret about her new boyfriend. Samantha (Kim Kattrall) has never been discreet with anyone she's ever slept with, and Charlotte (Kristin Davis) divulges her past love affair with one of God's chosen people.
The monogamists / season 1 - episode 7 Directed by: Darren Star Written by: Darren Star Charlotte (Kristin Davis) is unsure about giving blow jobs and Samantha (Kim Kattrall) is shocked. Whilst leaving a restaurant, Carrie (Sarah Jessica Parker) spots Big with a woman and is outraged to find out he is on a date with her. Samantha looks for a new appartment but doesn't believe in monogamy with estate agents, and Miranda sees Skipper out on a date and finds she is jealous, so she calls him mid-coitus and he breaks up with his date there and then. Carrie starts to wonder how many women Big is dating and Skipper walks out on Miranda because she wasn't ready for monogamy.
Three's a crowd / season 1 - episode 8 Directed by: Nichole Holofcener Written by: Jenny Bicks Carrie (Sarah Jessica Parker) discovers not only that Mr. Big was once married, but that he and his ex participated in a threesome. Meeting the ex-Mrs. Big, Carrie is disappointed to find her smart, sexy and successful. Charlotte's (Kristin Davis) boyfriend wants to add another woman to their relationship, and Miranda feels left out. Samantha (Kim Kattrall) finds that she has unwittingly become too involved with a married couple.
The turtle and the hare / season 1 - episode 9 Directed by: Michael Fields Written by: Susan Kolinsky Mr Big tells Carrie (Sarah Jessica Parker) he will never marry again. After Samantha (Kim Kattrall) is dumped, she tries to turn "the Turtle" (an investigator with bad breath) into a "catch". Meanwhile, Miranda introduces Charlotte (Kristin Davis) to "the Rabbit" (a vibrator), which turns Charlotte into a recluse.
The baby shower / season 1 - episode 10 Directed by: Susan Seidelman Written by: Terri Minsky The Ladies are invited to a baby shower of their excentric friend, Laney and Carrie (Sarah Jessica Parker) notices that she is late on her period. At the shower, Carrie starts to wonder if she is nexe and Laney steals Charlotte's (Kristin Davis) secret baby name, so they leave to go to a bar where Carrie (Sarah Jessica Parker) admitts she is late while Charlotte is out in the bathroom. When she gets home, Charlotte looks at her wish box and thows it out because it's wishful thinking.
The drought / season 1 - episode 11 Directed by: Matthew Harrison Written by: Michael Green & Michael Patrick King An accidental emission has Carrie (Sarah Jessica Parker) certain that she and Mr. Big will never share a bed again. The last three months have Miranda convinced she will never share a bed with any man again. A foray into tantric celibacy leaves Samantha (Kim Kattrall) craving old-fashioned sex, and Charlotte's (Kristin Davis) boyfriend would rather be mentally balanced than sexually active.
Oh come, all ye faithful / season 1 - episode 12 Directed by: Mathew Harrison Written by: Michael Patrick King I was once with a guy the size of Carrie (Sarah Jessica Parker) spots Big at a church and he doesn't introduce her to his mother, and Miranda dates a Catholic who showered straight after sex because he believed it to be sinful. Samantha (Kim Kattrall) meets a guy who she makes a relationship with and she beileves she is in love with him, but before she sleeps with him. Upon hearing of Samantha's 'love', Charlotte (Kristin Davis) visits pychics who say she'll never marry, and Miranda (Cynthia Nixon) confronts her man about sinful showering and is dumped. report error and omissions here
