Carrie (Sarah Jessica Parker) visits Paris in New York and Sam can't get over what Richard did to her. Charlotte (Kristin Davis) tries to put Trey behind her and Sam meets Richard to give him a piece of her mind. Miranda (Cynthia Nixon) can't help feeling like an outcast and Charlotte goes out with Anthony and doesn't know what to do when she is checked out. The ladies attend a navy party where Charlotte and Sam expose a little more than Carrie wishes to see.

Carrie (Sarah Jessica Parker) dares to go on a blind date but is stood up and gets hell bent on getting the four ladies together so they head off to Atlantic City with Richard. Steve thinks he will kill Brady when Miranda (Cynthia Nixon) asks him to look after him but Magda agrees to help him. Carrie is used as a 'lucky blonde' and is given $1000 for it. Samantha (Kim Kattrall) dumps Richard because she can't trust him so the ladies end up getting the 'old lady express' home playing old maid and Carrie (Sarah Jessica Parker) finally gets a new photo of the four of them.

Carrie (Sarah Jessica Parker) see's a mock up for the cover of her book is a naked photo of her and freaks out. Miranda (Cynthia Nixon) goes to find a book to help her lose the baby weight and Stanford has met 'someone'. Miranda goes out with a guy from her weight loss class who kisses her after going down on her and is left a little wet and when she mentions it he dumps her.Sam helps Carrie (Sarah Jessica Parker) find an outfit for her book cover photo shoot and they end up arguing about Carrie catching Sam giving a delivery guy a blow job.

Carrie reads her review and is upset that her reviewer thinks that Carrie's men are disposable and at lunch Carrie bumps into a collegue from Vogue who's friend is the 'face' lady. Miranda (Cynthia Nixon) is visited by a fellow mother from her building who is angrey at her but then lends her a vibrating chair that finally keeps Brady quiet and Samantha (Kim Kattrall) returns a vibrator to find that it wasn't built for that purpose, but she's not the only person who uses it for pleasure.

After a summer of solitude, the ladies are getting desperate. Carrie's (Sarah Jessica Parker) much-anticipated weekend with Big (Chris Noth) ends in a surprising reversal of roles. Meanwhile, Charlotte (Kristin Davis) enjoys a satisfying romp in the world of sex-without-commitment.

The ladies watch Carrie's (Sarah Jessica Parker) friend, Bobby perform, who they discover is engaged when they thought he was gay, and Charlotte (Kristin Davis) admitts to seeing Harry, her lawyer. Samantha (Kim Kattrall) 'borrows' Richards holiday home in the Hamptons for a party and Bobby's wedding, and Miranda (Cynthia Nixon) accidentally sleeps with Steve again. Carrie bumps into Jack Burger again to find that he is now single. Samantha sets up her party to find sime freeloaders that wont leave and Carrie is informed that Bobby's marriage is more real than they realised.
