The Serpent's Lair / season 2 - episode 1

After the struggle with Klorel (as seen in Serpent's Grasp) SG-1 are captured by the Goa'uld. They are taken and held captive, by whom they soon find out is Bra'tak. Bra'tak has been 'undercover' working as Klorel's loyal servant, his ultimate goal being to save Earth by making Apophis think that Klorel has turned against him. With Bra'tak and his few men, SG-1 knows what they must do. They must use the Stargate to board the other ship where Apophis is and disarm the ships protection shield so that they can steer the two ships towards each other causing an explosion.


In the Line of Duty / season 2 - episode 2

SG-1 is sent on a mission to the planet Nasya to rescue the survivors of an attack from the Goa'uld. During the rescue, Carter (Amanda Tapping) who is giving CPR to a badly injured Nasyan has her body taken over by a Goa'uld who was hiding in the body of the Nasyan. No one notices the change, and SG-1 return to Earth through the Stargate with the Nasyan survivors. Back on Earth, no one really notices the change in Carter except Cassandra, her young friend that was adopted by Dr. Frazier after her world was destroyed by the Goa'uld


Prisoners / season 2 - episode 3

SG-1 help a man who turns out to be accused of a murder. SG-1 are sent through the Stargate to Hadante, a penal world because by helping him they are considered complicit in his crime. The most powerful person on that planet is Linea who terrifies the other prisoners, and which SG-1 deal with her that if she helps power the Stargate they'll help her escape.


The Gamekeeper / season 2 - episode 4

Directed by : Martin Wood
SG-1 discover a beautiful garden on a planet. There are domes of metallic chambers with one lifeless person in each. In four chambers they find themselves reliving moments in which they can hopefully change the out come. There is a shadowy figure called the keeper which explains that they are part of a game feeding memories into a virtual reality only created for the residents amusement.


Need / season 2 - episode 5

SG-1 are exploring a planet in which the observe Jaffa warriors sending a precious element: Naquadah through the Stargate. Daniel (Michael Shanks) sees a beautiful princess try to commit suicide off a cliff. Daniel runs to her rescue just in time to save her and also in time to have himself and the rest of SG-1 captured by the Jaffa guards. SG-1 are put before the ruler of the planet Pyrus the God slayer and he forces them to work in the Naquadah mines. SG-1 attempt an escape that night but Daniel is badly injured. The princess brings Daniel to the palace and places him in a Sarcophagus.


Thor's Chariot / season 2 - episode 6

SG-1 receives a message from the people of Cimmera (Seen in Thor's Hammer) that the Goa'uld have invaded their planet. The team feels responsible for this attack and return to Cimmeria to help defend against the Goa'uld attack. With the help of Gairwyn a local native who helped them when they were there once before they try to fend off the Goa'uld. While on Cimmeria Carter (Amanda Tapping) discovers that because of Jolinar she is able to control and use Goa'uld devices.


Message in a Bottle / season 2 - episode 7

On P5C353, a dead world SG-1 find an orb sending electromagnetic signals which they believe to be messages from a lost civilisation, they bring back to Earth. It then begins to heat up so they try and take it back to the planet. Before it goes it shoots out huge metallic shafts but one happens to go through Jack's shoulder.


Family / season 2 - episode 8

An unexpected visitor comes through the Stargate with some shocking news for Teal'c (Christopher Judge). The visitor is Bra'tac, Teal'c mentor and good friend. SG-1 learn that Apophis is not dead and that he survived the destruction of his ship. They also learn that Apophis has kidnapped Teal'c's son Rya'c. SG-1 decide to go through the Stargate to Chulak to rescue Rya'c. When the arrive on Chulak, Teal'c learns that his wife Druy'ac has re-married after she thought he was dead when he did not return from Earth.


Secrets / season 2 - episode 9

After the amazing struggle that SG-1 went through to save Earth from the war ships of Apophis (Serpent's Grasp and Serpent's Lair) O'Neill (Richard Dean Anderson) and Carter (Amanda Tapping) travel to Washington to receive a medal for their bravery. While there O'Neill finds out some shocking news himself when he is approached by a reporter who seems to know an awful lot about the Stargate Project. This reporter claims to know all about the Stargate, the Goa'uld, and the SGC and is threatening to release all this information to the public.


Bane / season 2 - episode 10

Teal'c (Christopher Judge) is infected by after SG-1 was attacked on BP63Q1. When on Earth the venom rewrites Teal'c's DNA. Maybourne is interested in his condition as he sees biological uses in the venom. Teal'c escapes though leaving his goa'uld larva behind. He befriends a young girl, Ally while the SGC try to find a vaccine.


The Tok'ra (1) / season 2 - episode 11

SG-1 go on a mission to find the Tok'ra. The Tok'ra are the race of Goa'uld that oppose the system lords and their ways. Carter (Amanda Tapping) who's body was briefly inhabited by the Tok'ra Jolinar (In the Line of Duty) begins to have dreams and sees the visions of Jolinar. When SG-1 arrive on the planet they suspect the Tok'ra are, they are met by some heavily armed Tok'ra who do not trust them. Through Carter and her memories of Jolinar they slowly come around to trusting SG-1.


The Tok'ra (2) / season 2 - episode 12

Garshaw turns down the request for an alliance after none of the Humans will be a host for Selmak. Sam has a good idea that'll get them the alliance and save her father and Selmak in the mean time. She suggests that her father will be an ideal candidate for Selmak as it cures cancer. But when Sam, Jack and Jacob return, the goa'uld launch an attack. The bonding is difficult but with goa'uld death gliders bombing Tok'ra tunnels, it needs to be fast!


Spirits / season 2 - episode 13

On PXY887 SG-11 discovered a mineral, Trinium, one hundred times stronger and lighter than steel, but have not returned to Earth. Then the inhabitants there shot an arrow through the Stargate missing everyone else but hitting Jack. SG-1, now led by Sam, travel to negotiate a mining treaty. They meet a plainspoken Salish Indian, Tonane, who says that SG-11 have been taken by the spirits. SG-1 take him back to look at alternative mining methods but soon it turns strange when the spirits start showing themselves.


Touchstone / season 2 - episode 14

SG-1 are blamed for the theft of a weather controlling device called the Touchstone from the planet Madrona. They learn that a group of humans impersonating them came through the Stargate and stole the device. The weather on Madrona is quickly deteriorating and the inhabitants are fearful of their own death if the stone is not returned to them. SG-1 make a shocking discovery, that it was humans who went through the gate to Madrona and that they came from Earth.


The Fifth Race / season 2 - episode 15

SG-1 go to P3R272 in attempt to decode an alien language discovered by one of their probes. Jack looks through a viewer and is caught in its grasp, only momentarily though. Afterwards he starts to talk alien words without even noticing and is overwhelmed of knowledge. Daniel (Michael Shanks) believes that Jack possess knowledge of the Ancients, the race who built the stargate's, but relises the knowledge is too complex for a human mind. Jack then starts dialling the Stargate to an 8 symbol address.


A Matter of Time / season 2 - episode 16

Directed by : Jimmy Kaufman
The SGC learns that SG-10 is stuck on a planet experiencing a black hole and are not able to get home. The SGC attempts to save them and when they activate the Stargate, they expose themselves to the gravitational pull of the black hole from the other planet. Seeing no other option, they shut down the Stargate's main power supply, causing an eruption of power and explosion. Even with the gate powered down, the SGC is not out of hot water yet. The strong force and pull of the black hole continues to pull the SGC and the rest of the world gradually towards it.


Holiday / season 2 - episode 17

Serpent's Song / season 2 - episode 18

Apophis throws himself to the mercy of the SGC who grant him sanctuary after being an outcast by his own kind. He is dying and promises information on the Goa'uld in return for a new host. Sokar is perusing him after Apophis conquered him in Egypt, he will kill anything standing between him and Apophis to get his revenge.


One False Step / season 2 - episode 19

Directed by : William Corcoran
SG-1 are sent to recover a downed UAV plane from a routine mission. Upon arriving they notice that the UAV crashed into a strange cactus plant and inside the plant lives a strange life form. SG-1 meets the inhabitants of the planet, and they are a very peaceful and simple race of aliens. Shortly after arriving and interacting with the aliens they begin to fall very ill and appear to be dying. Carter (Amanda Tapping) takes one of the sick aliens back to the SGC in hopes of finding what has caused this to happen.


Show and Tell / season 2 - episode 20

A young boy comes through the Stargate and tells SG-1 that he and his mother have come through the Stargate to warn them of danger. The boy tells them that his mother is a member of the Reetou, and invisible insect like race that oppose the Goa'uld. The boy was created by his mother be act as a translator between Mother and SG-1. The boy who names himself after O'Neill's (Richard Dean Anderson) deceased son Charlie tells them that the Goa'uld destroyed their world and now a group of Reetou rebels intend to kill all humans. Charlie tells them that the rebels believe that by killing all humans they are eliminating most all of the Goa'uld's hosts and this will eventually lead to the destruction of the Goa'uld race.


1969 / season 2 - episode 21

Through a cosmic accident, SG-1 are sent back to 1969. Sam is searched by a Lieutenant who is shocked when he finds a letter that Hammond (Don S. Davis) gave her before she left. It turns out that the Lieutenant is a young George Hammond and he helps them escape. In the search to find the Stargate SG-1 are picked up by some hippies. On the note it includes a date for the next solar flare. They must find the Stargate or remain in the past!


Out of Mind / season 2 - episode 22
Story by: Jonathan Glassner and Brad Wright
Teleplay by : Jonathan Glassner
Directed by : Martin Wood
O'Neill (Richard Dean Anderson) awakens in a very futuristic version of the SGC. He is told that he has been in cryogenic suspension for the last 79 years and that the rest of his team has been deceased for some time. They plug a device into him that they tell him will help him retrieve memories that might be able to help them in their war with the Goa'uld. However, O'Neill overhears some of them talking in Goa'uld voices and decides something else is going on.
