Defiant - the first in a new class of warships designed to fight the Borg. Sisko is ordered to go to the Gamma quadrant to try and find the Founders of the Dominion and to convince them that Starfleet is not a threat to them.
The Search (2) / season 3 - episode 2 teleplay by Ira Steven Behr story by Ira Steven Behr & Robert Hewitt Wolfe directed by Jonathan Frakes music by Jay Chattaway Odo finds others of his kind only to discover that they are the Founders that he and the Federation have been looking for all along. Meanwhile, Sisko and Bashir, escaping from the destruction of the Defiant in a shuttlecraft, are found by Dax and O'Brien who return them to DS9. Once there, Sisko finds that treaty negotiations are under way with the Dominion, the Romulans are threatening war because they have been left out of the negotiations, and that Bajor, the wormhole and DS9 are being turned over to the Dominion as part of a peace gesture.

Moore story by Tom Benko directed by Les Landau music by Richard Bellis A drunken Klingon is accidentally killed in an altercation with Quark who, naturally, seizes on the opportunity to claim it was self-defense and boost his business. However, he soon finds that the death of Kozak leads to a number of unforeseen problems, including Quark's marriage to the widow and Quark ruling the Klingon house while the deceased's brother seeks vengeance.

Second Skin / season 3 - episode 5 written by Robert Hewitt Wolfe directed by Les Landau music by David Bell Major Kira is kidnapped by the Cardassians and awakes to find herself with the face and identity of a Cardassian spy who had been sent to Bajor on a secret mission.
The Abandoned / season 3 - episode 6 written by D. Thomas Maio & Steve Warnek directed by Avery Brooks music by Jay Chattaway Quark's purchase of a crashed ship from a Boslic captain leads to the discovery of a strange infant who quickly grows into a Jem'Hadar warrior who can only be controlled by Odo. Meanwhile, Sisko gets to know Jake's new girlfriend - Marta, a Dabo girl.
Civil Defence / season 3 - episode 7 written by Mike Krohn directed by Reza Badiyi music by Jay Chattaway A Cardassian security device designed to quell uprisings among the Bajoran workers is accidentally triggered by Jake. Unable to give the proper codes known only by the former commander of the station, Gul Dukat, the crew of Deep Space Nine face the possibility station automatically self-destructing.
Meridian / season 3 - episode 8 teleplay by Mark Gehred O'Connell story by Hilary J. Bader & Evan Carlos Somers directed by Jonathan Frakes music by Dennis McCarthy Sisko, Dax and O'Brien go out exploring in the Gamma quadrant and find a planet which appears in our dimension only once every 60 years. Dax falls in love with one of the inhabitants and together they race against time to stabilize the planet before it disappears again. Meanwhile, back on DS9 Kira finds herself having to repel the lustful advances of an alien client of Quark's.
Defiant / season 3 - episode 9 written by Ronald D. Moore directed by Cliff Bole music by Jay Chattaway When the Defiant is stolen (and Major Kira kidnapped), Sisko finds he must work with the Cardassians to stop the errant ship, now in control of the Maquis, before war breaks out in the galaxy.
Fascination / season 3 - episode 10 teleplay by Philip Lazebnik story by Ira Steven Behr & James Crocker directed by Avery Brooks music by Dennis McCarthy Lwaxana Troi comes to visit with Odo, Vedek Bareil comes to visit Kira, and Keiko takes leave from her duties to see Miles during a Bajoran festival while both Jake and Dr. Bashir fall in love with Kira, and Dax professes her love for Sisko.
Past Tense (1) / season 3 - episode 11 teleplay by Robert Hewitt Wolfe story by Ira Steven Behr & Robert Hewitt Wolfe directed by Reza Badiyi music by Dennis McCarthy On their way to a Starfleet Function, Dax, Sisko and Bashir are caught in a freak transporter accident that sends them back to San Francisco in the year 2024 where they have to keep from destroying their own history while finding their way back to their own time.

Heart of Stone / season 3 - episode 14 written by Ira Steven Behr & Robert Hewitt Wolfe directed by Alexander Singer music by David Bell Returning to the station on a run-about, Kira and Odo chase down a Maquis marauder that fired on another ship. They follow the marauder to a planet where they lose the marauder inside a cave complex. While searching, Kira gets caught in a strange rock formation that threatens to envelope her completely. Meanwhile, back on the station, Sisko must contend with Nog's request for entry to Starfleet.
Destiny / season 3 - episode 15 written by David S. Cohen & Martin A. Winer directed by Les Landau music by Dennis McCarthy A group of Cardassian scientists come to DS9 to work with Starfleet and Bajor on a scientific project but, according to an old Bajoran prophecy, the project leads to disaster - the permanent closing of the wormhole.
Prophet Motive / season 3 - episode 16 written by Ira Steven Behr & Robert Hewitt Wolfe directed by Rene Auberjonois music by Dennis McCarthy The Grand Nagus returns to Deep Space Nine with a shocking surprise - a new attitude and a new version, radical version of the Rules of Acquisition.

The rebellion is compose over of Tuvok, Rom, Dax, O'Brien and Bashir. Jennifer, however, hates her former husband.

When Quark's mother messes up on a business deal which, by sexist Ferengi laws she was not allowed to be making in the first place, Quark must return to the Ferengi Homeworld and clear his family name in front of the Ferengi equivalent of the IRS.

A Bajoran resistance leader will be coming into Major Kira's romantic life. The Kai will be trying to gain even more power than she has already.
Facets / season 3 - episode 25 written by Renè Echavarria directed by Cliff Bole music by Dennis McCarthy Jadzia Dax prepares for her zhian'tara, the Trill Rite of Closure. During the ritual, Jadzia will meet Dax's previous hosts, which will be accomplished by transferring the memories of each into someone else's body. Kira undergoes the transference first, becoming Lela, Dax's initial host. Later, Jadzia discusses her feelings of inferiority when other crew members take become hosts.
