(2) / season 7 - episode 1 With Burns shot, Chief Wiggum follows a trail of DNA that leads to the Simpsons front door step. Homer Simpson is charged for the shooting and before Homer can be jailed, he escapes. It's a race to see who reaches Burns' hospital room first. Just as Homer really is about to murder Burns, Lisa Simpson announces that she has solved the mystery. It turns out that Maggie Simpson shot Mr.Burns when he tried to take her lollipop! Tito Puente guest stars. Radioactive Man / season 7 - episode 2 Friendships could be torn when Bart Simpson and Milhouse are both up for the role of `Fallout Boy' in the new `Radioactive Man' movie. Meanwhile, the town of Springfield sees $$$ and milk the `Radioactive Man' film crew for all their cash. Milhouse wins the role, but vanishes when the stress is too much for him. Bart finds him, and Milhouse doesn't go back, not even with Mickey Rooney trying to convince him. The production team leave, without a co-star and over-budget. Mickey Rooney Home Sweet Home-Dum-Diddly Doodly / season 7 - episode 3 Bart Simpson, Lisa Simpson and Maggie Simpson are placed in the care of the Flanders family when Homer Simpson and Marge Simpson are found to be unfit parents (all thanks to several things culminating). Now, Homer and Marge must prove to the authorities that they are fit parents before the kids become too Flanders like. They pass a child caring class, and rescue Bart and Lisa just before they are baptized by Ned. Homer, however, finds a drop of baptizing water touches him, but he quickly recovers. Joan Kenley guest stars. Bart Sells His Soul / season 7 - episode 4 Bart Simpson's faith is tested when he sells his soul for five dollars. He finds that he can't express emotion, and the pets act hostile to him. He wants it back, but Milhouse wants $50 for it. He tracks his soul down to the comic book store, but then the track leads nowhere. He prays for his soul, and Lisa Simpson gives it to him, having bought it the previous evening. Meanwhile, Moe turns the Tavern into Uncle Moe's Family Feedbag. Lisa the Vegetarian / season 7 - episode 5 A trip to a local petting zoo leads to confrontations at the dinner table when Lisa Simpson decides to become a vegetarian. When Homer Simpson runs a barbercue, Lisa brings out some gazpacho, and is laughed at. As revenge, Lisa pushes Homer's suckling pig down a hill and Homer loses it. Lisa nearly cracks when arguing with Homer, and goes to the Kwik-E-Mart and takes a bite of what she thinks is a hot dog, when Apu then tells her it is tofu. Lisa learns to respect other people's choices, and she and Homer make up. Paul McCartney and Linda McCartney guest star. Tree House of Horror VI / season 7 - episode 6 This years Halloween Special features two science fiction stories and one horror: In “Attack of the 50 ft Eyesores”, Giant billboard characters come to life during a freakish weather storm. Next, After a freakish boiler room accident, Groundskeeper Willy's dying curse is to vow revenge through the dreams of Springfields' children in “Nightmare On Evergreen Terrace”. Finally, Homer Simpson discovers a 3D dimension in his attempt to hide during Patty and Selma's latest house visit in “Homer^3”. King-Size Homer / season 7 - episode 7 A strong desire to work at home prompts Homer Simpson to gain a lot of weight so he can claim work disability. He achieves obesity with a weight of 300 pounds. He finds that even typing at home is tiring, so he sets a mechanical bird to regularly tap the Y button. When he comes home from the movies (which he is too big to get into), he finds the reactor core is about to explode. Homer has to shut it off manually, and he accidentally does this by being fat enough to block the hole venting the gas. When finding Homer is hopeless at exercise, Mr.Burns agrees to pay for liposuction. Joan Kenley guest stars. Mother Simpson / season 7 - episode 8 Through a misunderstanding, Homer Simpson discovers his mother is very much alive, but with a very shady past and the FBI are eager to find her. He talks to her, and Grandpa tells Homer why he told him that his mother was dead. The FBI arrive at the Simpson home, but Homer's mother has already fled, thanks to a tip-off from Chief Wiggum to repay an old debt. Glen Close and Harry Morgan guest star. Sideshow Bob's Last Gleaming / season 7 - episode 9 Sideshow Bob slips away from prison detail, steals an atomic bomb and threatens to detonate it unless the town of Springfield gives up television. All the stations do, but Krusty broadcasts using the Emergency Broadcast System. Bob sets off the bomb, but thanks to its antiquity it does nothing but create a shower of dust. He tracks down Krusty, but in a slow antiquitated aeroplane he bounces off Krusty's roof and is taken into custody. R. Lee Ermey and Kelsey Grammer guest star. The Simpson's 138th Show Spectacular / season 7 - episode 10 Troy McClure hosts an half- hour show looking back at The Simpsons' past eight year history. We see Matt Groening as an alcoholic Southern patriot. Several clips are shown, such as cutout classics and several variations on the "Who Shot Mr.Burns?" double episode. Marge Be Not Proud / season 7 - episode 11 When Bart Simpson tries to steal a videogame and is caught, Marge Simpson finds out when the family returns to the store to have their Christmas picture taken. The security chief shows Marge and Homer Simpson the tape of Bart's theft. When Marge confronts Bart again when she sees a bulge under his jacket, she finds a smiling photo of Bart and a receipt saying "Paid in Full". Marge forgives Bart. Team Homer / season 7 - episode 12 Thanks to Burns' ether induced state, Homer Simpson gets the money he needs to start a bowling team. However, Burns' head clears and he wants to be in the team. Their play suffers, because he can barely roll the ball down the lane. They make it to the league championship match with 2 pins to win, and thanks to Otto accidentally tipping over a novelty machine the vibrations knock the pins down without Burns's help. Meanwhile, Bart Simpson's T-shirt exclaiming "Down With Homework!" causes a riot at school, resulting in Principal Skinner issuing mandatory school uniforms. The students are demoralized until a rainstorm washes through their new clothes, giving them psychedelic colours, and the children gp wild. Two Bad Neighbors / season 7 - episode 13 Homer Simpson's jealousy at all the attention his new neighbors, George and Barbara Bush, receives, turns to rage when the former President gives Bart Simpson a spanking (due to Bart destorying his memoirs). The two women, meanwhile, get along well. Homer sends a swarm of locusts towards Bush, and Bush tries to strangle Homer, but Barbara realizes that they must move. Scenes From a Class Struggle in Springfield / season 7 - episode 14 The Simpson family mingle with social highbrows when a chance encounter between Marge Simpson and an old classmate yields an invitation to the Springfield Country Club. Burns agrees to sponsor Marge for membership because Homer Simpson caught Smithers cheating for his boss. On the night, Marge finds that she was happier as her old self because she didn't have to try to fit in - it came naturally. The Simpsons leavee and go back to the way things were. Bart the Fink / season 7 - episode 15 When Bart Simpson accidentally finks on Krusty to the IRS, Krusty decides to go for that last plane ride and is pronounced as dead, although there is no body. Bart sees a man who looks like Krusty at the harbour, and confronts him. Bart convinces Krusty that his life before was much better, and Krusty makes amends and continues with his show, using a life insurance premium to end his tax woes. Bob Newhart guest stars. Lisa the Iconoclast / season 7 - episode 16 While digging into Jebediah Springfield's past, Lisa Simpson discovers that the town founder isn't the hero as everyone thinks he was. He was a murderous pirate with a silver tongue. Investigations occur to find the silver tongue, but nobody knows the librarian has it. Lisa confronts him and he shows her where it is, but when she is about to tell everyone she changes her mind (deciding that the myth of Jebediah is more important than historic fact) and everyone is happy. Donald Sutherland guest stars. Homer the Smithers / season 7 - episode 17 Smithers takes a much needed vacation and to ensure his position at the nuclear plant, he hires Homer Simpson as his replacement. Burns criticizes Homer too much, and Homer hits him. Burns sends him away, fearing that Homer will hit him again. When Smithers returns, Burns no longer needs him and fires him. Smithers and Homer devise a scheme to get both their normal jobs back, but Homer ruins it and a fight breaks out between the two. Burns falls out the window and is confined to a bed, needing Smithers's attention once more. The Day the Violence Died / season 7 - episode 18 With the help of Lionel Hutz, Bart Simpson unwittingly bankrupts the studio that produces Itchy & Scratchy when he and Hutz successfully prove the idea for Itchy was stolen some 70-80 years ago. They try to bring Itchy & Scratchy back by striking a deal between the two sides, but fail. Meanwhile, Lester and Eliza (who bear an uncanny resemblance to Bart and Lisa Simpson) get the show back on the air by exposing the U.S. Postal Service's plagiarism of another Roger Meyers Sr. character. Guest starring Alex Rocco, Jack Sheldon, Suzanne Somers and Kirk Douglas. A Fish Called Selma / season 7 - episode 19 Troy McClure's sagging film career is given a boost when he is seen in public with a woman. And to stay in the public eye, Troy must do more than merely date this woman, who happens to be Selma. He proposes, but admits to Homer Simpson before the weeding that he is only doing it for the good publicity. They try to tell Selma, but she refuses to believe them. She confronts Troy, and he confesses, but tells her that it will be fun. He then asks her to have a child, but Selma won't bring a child into a loveless marriage and leaves with her iguana, Jub-Jub. Jeff Goldblum guest stars. Bart on the Road / season 7 - episode 20 With fake drivers IDs, Bart Simpson, Nelson, Milhouse and Martin go on the open road to go to the World's Fair. They think it is on Knoxville, Tennesee, but find they have a 14 year-old map. The car is destroyed in the town, and Bart rings Lisa Simpson. She gets Homer Simpson to arrange equipment to be delivered to the nuclear power plant from Knoxville, and the boys stow away inside the crate. 22 Short Films About Springfield / season 7 - episode 21 A dull, lazy afternoon prompts Bart Simpson and Milhouse to wonder if anything interest ever happens in Springfield a cue for a series of clips about Springfield. Everything from a tall man humiliating Nelson to Lisa Simpson getting bubble-gum stuck in her hair occurs. The Curse of the Flying Hellfish / season 7 - episode 22 Buried World War II treasure is the prize in a squadron, in which Grampa and Mr. Burns are the last two surviving members. But Burns is determined that he'll be the one who collects the prize. Just as Grandpa and Burns give chase when Burns steals the treasure, members of the State Department come in and give the treasures (rare paintings) to their rightful owner. Much Apu About Nothing / season 7 - episode 23 Anti-immigration fever hits Springfield and Homer Simpson catches the fever until he discovers Apu is an illegal immigrant. Apu tries to get a fake citizenship from Fat Tony, but realizes that he is betraying his Indian heritage. He takes the citizenship test, and passes. Joe Mantegna guest stars. Homerpalooza / season 7 - episode 24 Homer Simpson earns himself a place in Hullabalooza, as part of a travelling freak show. His part is catching cannon balls with his belly. Their stop after a few shows is Springfield, and Homer steps out of the way of the cannonball, explaining to his family that they mean more to him than having a 'cool' job. Cypress Hill, Peter Frampton, The Smashing Pumpkins and Sonic Youth guest star. Summer of 4'2" / season 7 - episode 25 In the hopes of making friends on the latest family vacation trip, Lisa Simpson packs an empty suitcase, determined to leave her 'nerdy' self behind. She meets some cool kids who instantly like her, and Bart Simpson is outraged. He tries to attract their attention, and they still don't like him. When Bart gets the kids to find out about Lisa's nerdiness, they still like her. To make up, Bart gets the cool kids to sign Lisa's yearbook. They give her a parting present, which is covering the car in shells in her honor.
