Writer: Vince Gilligan and Tim Minear
Director: Daniel Sackheim
Mulder and Scully try to track down a killer, in a type of Silence of the Lambs episode, but not as gross. It links up with an episode named Pusher in which a man can force his mind on other people. In this new episode, Pusher escapes and Mulder and Scully try to find him. He apparently is trying to kill Mulder, but Fox doesn't think so.

Schizogeny / season 5 - episode 9
Writer: Jessica Scott and Mike Wollaeger
Director: Ralph Hemecker
Mulder and Scully think that something is not quite right when a teenager is suspected of killing his father. The kid isn't very likable either but Mulder doesn't think he committed such a crime against his own parent. The teen has been going to a psychiatrist who should actually be going to one herself because of past mental problems.

Chinga / season 5 - episode 10
Writer: Stephan King and Chris Carter
Director: Kim Manners
Stephen King helped write this episode about when Scully visits Maine (all of King's stories seem to happen in Maine) in which victims seem to have inflicted wounds against themselves. Scully investigates deeper into the strange happening as Mulder calls once in a while to "help" Scully with the investigation. The townspeople believe that a woman (who also has a daughter, who loves a strange looking doll that talks) actually is a witch and has been causing havoc on the town.

Kill Switch / season 5 - episode 11
Writer: William Gibson and Tom Maddox
Director: Rob Bowman
Mulder and Scully investigate the death of a computer genuis who was killed (with others) in a diner shootout. His death leads to a woman who has been helping him and is trying to be killed by artificial intelligence. Upon finding her, Mulder and Scully almost get fried themselves by a satellite that has a sometime of killing beam on it. Mulder dives deeper into the investigation leading him to a trailer where he gets captured by "live" computers and placed into a VR helmet.

Bad Blood / season 5 - episode 12
Writer: Vince Gilligan
Director: Cliff Bole
In this strange episode about a vampire and Mulder and Scully's different stories of the case, Mulder and Scully go to Texas and end up killing a boy, well, Mulder ends up killing him. They end up D.C. again and discuss what each of them saw. Scully, the organized scientist, sees their case as solved and Mulder really messed up, even though the boy did drug him and was on top of him when she walked in. She shot at him, missing him she says, and then he runs, with Scully in pursuit.

Patient X / season 5 - episode 13
Writer: Frank Spotnitz and Chris Carter
Director: Kim Manners
Well, in this episode, the whole alien thing pops up again and Mulder is forced to question his new theories and Scully is forced to believe in more of alien workings than just the government. In Patient X, Scully and Mulder meet an older woman who believes that she has been abducted for the past 30 or so years. She knows it is time to go somewhere and be abducted again.

The Red and the Black / season 5 - episode 14
Writer: Frank Spotnitz and Chris Carter
Director: Chris Carter
Scully could be dead, but she isn't actually, Mulder learns but she is in critical condition. In this episode, Scully becomes more like Mulder as Mulder continues to spiral down a walkway of reason and sanity, while Scully seems totally out of character as she learns more about what happened on the bridge. As Mulder and Scully try to figure out what happened to her on the bridge, the viewers get a taste of the workings of the Secret Group in New York, and we learn that it is extremely possible, that aliens truly do exist.

Travelers / season 5 - episode 15
Writer: Frank Spotnitz and John Shiban
Director: William A. Graham
Travelers takes the audience on a trip to the 1950s when the US was up in arms about the horrible Communists that were threatening the capitalist country of America. The episode begins with the finding of Edward Skurs who is shot and then says the name, "Mulder" back in 1990. Fox Muldler, just beginning to look into the X-Files, investigates why this man said "Mulder." He goes to ex-FBI agent Dales who tells him a story about Mulder's father and the Communist search.

Mind's Eye / season 5 - episode 16
Writer: Tim Minear
Director: Kim Manners
A girl that Scully and Mulder are investigating is able to see through the eyes of a killer, and this girl is blind. She is accused of the murders going on in a city because she was found at the murder scene with blood on her hands. Everyone else but Mulder (of course) believes that she did the murders, but Fox goes out to find the truth.

All Souls / season 5 - episode 17
Writer: Dan Angel and Billy Brown
Director: Unknown
Scully is asked by her priest to help a family who has lost their teenage girl she was supposedly struck by lightning. In learning more about this girl, she also learns about other girls who are ending up dying the exact same way, while seeing scenes of her own dead daughter. During the investigation, two more girls are killed in this manner: eyes burned out, and in a type of praying or worship look.

The Pine Bluff Variant / season 5 - episode 18
Writer: The Pine Bluff Variant
Director: Unknown
Mulder goes under cover to help the FBI and CIA stop a radical group from infecting the nation of a horrible acid/spray/chemical that literally eats the body of its flesh, unknowing to Mulder's partner Scully. Scully, who thinks he has betrayed his country, learns otherwise and gets Mulder into much more trouble than he really wanted to.

Folie a Deux / season 5 - episode 19
Writer: Vince Gilligan
Director: Unknown
Scully and Mulder investigate the strange happenings of a telemarketing business who has a man who thinks that his boss is evil or the devil or something: but the boss seems fairly normal to everyone else. The man takes the workers and the boss hostage as Mulder comes in. Outside, cops and others arrive to help stop the hostage situation.

The End / season 5 - episode 20
Writer: Chris Carter
Director: R.W. Goodwin
In this final season episode, Mulder and Scully help protect a child who is trying to be killed by the NY Group. This child can read minds and is also the chess champ. The show opens with a man trying to shoot the child but he knows and moves back just as he shoots killing the Russian player. The man is arrested and Agent Spender (the same agent who had the "insane mother" from Patient X and The Red and the Black) is put on the case, but he doesn't want Mulder to help, but Skinner puts him on the case anyway.
